Hello! I'm having exactly the same problem as Nate, every time I turn my computer on my iTunes is completely wiped of all my songs. Fortunately I keep all my downloaded mp3. files in a separate folder in 'My Documents', these are always the same as when I left them and none of them are deleted, but just the iTunes has been wiped. This is so irritating as uploading my 10,000 song library takes forever. Obviously I can just re-upload all my songs into the Library whenever I need to sync my iPod, but this is so inconvenient! I use a XP Professional and the latest versions of iTunes, Quicktime ect. PLEASE help me as this is bugging me so so much!

Thankyou!

I turned off my computer to go on vacation for 6 days, and iTunes worked perfectly fine. After I came back, I turned on my computer and opened up iTunes, and my entire library was wiped out. I reloaded my library, and after a while, closed it. I came back later and opened up iTunes again, and my library was gone, again. It does this everytime I open and close iTunes now, and it's really annoying, because 1) I have to reloaded my massive library, and that takes forever, and 2) Because everytime I reload it, it loads every sound file on the computer into it, so then I have to delete all the extra stuff that I don't want in iTunes. Anyone know what to do???

Thanks,

do i have to pay for itunes? when i got my ipod, it came with a disk to put itunes on my computer and i never had any problems (and didn't have to pay extra). but today i tried using it and it said there was a problem with Quicktime player and to uninstall it, then reinstall it. So i did. THEN it said i had to do the same with iTunes. So i did. But I cannot get iTunes re-installed. I tried using my iTunes disk AND tried downloading from the internet. The apple site says I have to pay for a 1, 2, or 3-year access... what's with this? I just want my plain ol' iTunes back!

Thanks so much for the help! I thought I was losing it but it's just apple. They get paid enough to work these bugs out ahead of time, wouldn't you say?

Hello,

I have a few problems with iTunes. My PC recently completely crashed and I had to buy a new one. I bought a Dell, with Vista installed. My entire library is on an external drive, to protect me from precisely this kind of situation. I have successfully installed iTunes but found it very difficult to re-install my library back into iTunes (around 13,000 songs). Once I managed to upload my library, I have now found that I am unable to edit any of the information relating to songs, artists etc, as I had managed previously. I am also unable to increase the volume. when I click on these tabs the pages are un-highlighted and I cannot alter any of this info.....
Any suggestions and help appreciated...
Thanks,
Adam
