Every time I startup my computer, I get this strange folder/application properties that pops up for Cfg or CFG.exe. Is there anway to remove this? Thanks for your help in advanced!
Pop-up’s like the one you describe become the most annoying as you are constantly closing them every single time you start up your computer. It gets to be a drag and it just seems like a harmless settings error or incorrect installation. In reality, the problem you are having with the cfg.exe and cfg display of folder properties is added by the W32/Bdoor-ZAR backdoor worm.
Try the steps below to remove your error that pop’s-up during startup and you should be opening up to a desktop without any annoying problems!
Do a scan with our faithful tool: Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware!
After your scan is complete, reboot and check for the error.
As a safety precaution, I recommend downloading and running a scan for SUPERAntiSpyware but you should be error free by this point! Good luck!
