You’re monitor runs at an optimal resolution that it might currently not be displayed at.? The optimal resolution will display the computer images at the best possible clarity and sharpness that the monitor can do.
If you are having a difficult time reading things on the screen or would like larger or smaller icons, adjusting the screen resolution and icon settings is a great way to personalize the Windows desktop.
Icons- The icons on your desktop may be too big or small for your taste.? An easy way to adjust that is by right clicking on any open space in your background, selecting the (1) View option and then on the new menu to the right, choose between (2) Large, Medium and Small icon settings.? I prefer to also have the icons arranged by grid (3) too which makes them snap into a nice easy to view grid rather than having them scattered all over the place.
Resolution: The screen resolution is very simple to edit from the same panel that just popped up.? Once again, right click on an open space of the desktop and navigate down to Screen Resolution (1) towards the bottom.
On the new menu, play around with the menu bar below and adjust to what looks the best on your monitor.? Do not worry about making a change and having an ugly appearance that comes up on the screen.? Windows has a default 15 second window that will ask you to confirm your selection; if nothing is confirmed, it will default back.? It also includes a recommended resolution which tries to approximate what it thinks the top resolution your monitor can handle is.
You can also change the themes and displayed background settings by going to Personalize on the same view menu (right clicking on an open space in the desktop background) and choosing through a few themes which rotate pictures and scenery.
